The results that appear are based on SEO used to get in the results list, known as SERP (search engine results pages).
Here are some basic strategies to get you started with SEO techniques for your blog posts and websites.
Keywords are the backbone of SEO for bloggers.
Searching using one word is known as a short tail keyword.
When searching online, most people use a long tail keyword approach, which is the use of more than one keyword when searching.
Take for instance the search term I mentioned previously “Best doggie daycare in Los Angeles”.
I did not use just one or two keywords, ‘doggie daycare’, but a long tail keyword phrase ‘Best doggie daycare in Los Angeles’, to create a niched down search result.
Consider how people search when you’re choosing your keywords.
When searching for something online, most of us naturally use more than a single keyword.
These keywords serve to help your audience find Y-O-U-R blogs and websites.
SEO for Bloggers at its Best
When SEO is utilized at its best, you may just find your site listed among the beginning of that search results list.

How many times have you scrolled through to page 2, 3, or 4 of those results? Exactly! Probably not too many times.
You want to learn to utilize SEO so that you have a chance at being the first search result, or at least, a result on page one.
There are many ways to do keyword research and several different tools you can use, and for different platforms.
